Dogs Pictures - Poodle The Cute Cotton the Blue Toy Poodle pics.

Poodles can be found in a wide range of colors and patterns. The AKC (American Kennel Club) only recognizes dogs that are solid colored at the skin to be shown in conformation. Dogs of more than one color are often referred to as parti-colored, or "parti's". These dogs can be entered in any AKC event except conformation. UKC (United Kennel Club) allows for solid and parti-colored dogs to be shown in conformation. Events are open to all registered poodles.

Hint: When purchasing a puppy or dog, beware of a breeder who tells you a color is rare or unusual. This is often done to justify a higher price.

A poodle is a breed of dog which comes in many varietes, including toy, minature and standard. They come in many different colors including blue, black, white, apricot, silver, brown and red. Poodles are retrievers, or gun dogs, and are still used in that role. The unique way that the poodle is cut came from the need to keep the major joints of the poodle warm while they were in water, while the rest of the body was shaved to have lesss drag in the water.

The poodles coat is thick and does not shed significantly. This means that they require extensive care and grooming if kept to show standards. The origination of the name poodle comes from Pudel (German), which is shortening of Pudelhund, a translation of this would be splashing dog. Standard poodles have a median lifespan of ~12 years, while miniature and toy poodles had a median life spance of ~14 years. However some toy poodles can live up to 17 years with a healthy lifestyle

Ferrets Care, Facts, Pictures

Ferrets Care :
9 Things Every Ferret Owner Should Know About Ferret Care, So That Your Pet Lives The Longest, Happiest Life With You

1. Because ferrets tend to have an odor when they reach adulthood, de-scenting and neutering them may be a good choice if you're not breeding them.

2. Before getting a new ferret, it's important to ask if it's received any vaccinations and been to the vet. If not, it will be your responsibility to take your new pet to the vet for check-ups.

3. A balanced diet for ferrets has at least 35% protein and 20% fat. In addition to ferret food, they can also eat cat food, and need higher-fat levels than felines.

4. Bottle or bowl? Ferrets drink more from bowls than from bottles. However, if you're unable to change the water often, a bottle is a good alternative.

5. Your ferret is at a potential risk of danger if it can stick it's head out of any part of the cage you put it in. You should also be sure that the cage or holding place of your ferret has no areas where it's feet can get caught.

6. Ferrets sleep 15 to 20 hours a day, and prefer dark, padded areas. For privacy of your pet, consider placing a sheet over part of it's cage to give it a sense of quiteness when it wants to sleep.

7. If it's potentially dangerous, keep it out of reach of your ferret. Ferrets love to chew on stuff, so be sure that it's not placed near any plastics, long electrical cords, or anything else that can harm your new pet.

8. Though you should let your ferret out of it's cage at least twice a day in a ferret proof room, it should never be left unattended. And since they're social, you can start introducing your new pet to people when it reaches about 30 days of age.

9. One thing you should do with a new ferret is to cultivate good habits. One of these is litter-training.
