Very active and skilled hunter, a dog is very friendly. We’ve been privileged to have 6 English setters in the last 20 years and they’re the most beautiful, loving, loyal and classy dogs imaginable. English Setter require a lot of exercise and certainly keep you fit, and they don’t have many brain cells. The English Setter is a dog of medium size, sleek, elegant appearance and movement, whose standard can be summarized in few words describing him simply as a wonderful dog. Taste is both purists and lovers of dogs. English setters aren’t for everyone. They need a lot more patience to teach compared to spaniels and, being rather joyful, end up in dog shelters only too often.
