I'm a tiger in a tower I've been wrestling your bones for hours Like a restless summer shower Pissing on a plastic flower
Waiting on the sun I know I'm not the only one Trying not to come I resonate And evaporate
In an airplane made of sugar Praying for no stormy weather The whip is every Tuesday I love her every velvet bruise day
Waiting on the sun Could I be the only one Trying not to come I resonate And evaporate
I'm a tiger in a tower I've been holding it in for hours Belly up on moon time You try to kill me all the time
Could I be the only one And I know I'll never see the sun Trying not to come I resonate And regulate And masturbate Don't allocate Evaporate And saturate We cast the fate And regulate
The Comas are an indie rock band, formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina by Andy Herod in March 1998. Through four albums, they have evolved into a dynamic rock band. After releasing two solid albums, Wave to Make Friends in 1999 and A Def Needle in Tomorrow in 2000, The Comas struck publicity gold after Herod’s much-publicized breakup with Dawson’s Creek actress Michelle Williams and wrote the breakup album Conductor. Rolling Stone called Conductor one of the “best records you didn’t hear” of 2004 and Spin Magazine featured them as a “band to watch.” Since the release of Conductor, Herod moved the band to New York City and switched from Yep Roc Records to Vagrant Records.
The band has constantly shifted members around Herod. The lineup currently includes Nicole Gehweiler (guitars/vox), Matt Sumrow (keys/vox), Jason Caperton (bass), and Nic Gonzales (drums). The Comas’ fourth album, “Spells” was released April 17, 2007.
